Welcome to our Class page!

Our class is full of hardworking and resilient individuals who simply love learning. We care about each other and ensure that everyone is made to feel welcome. The mixture of year one and two children means that we have a real family feel, with the older children supporting the younger children. This is the beauty of a mixed age class!

The children in Key Stage One learn how to become more independent in their learning so that they become ready for their time in Key Stage Two. Whilst the environment may look a bit different to foundation, there are plenty of opportunities to be playful in their learning.

We love reading! Your child will have the chance to take home a library book every day so that it can be shared at home.  Your child will also be sent home with a reading book that reflects what they are reading in their particular reading group. We expect the children to read this to you at least three times a week. If you would like to know more about helping your child with your reading, we would be more than happy to help.

Our PE days will always be on a Tuesday and Thursday. Your child can attend school on these days dressed in appropriate PE kit.

Please make sure that your child brings a water bottle to school every day.

We will provide healthy snacks for your child on a daily basis. This will be a variety of fruit and vegetables.

If your child has prescribed medication such as an asthma pump, they must have it on the school site and we must have this recorded on our medical needs form. This can be done at the school office.

Please make sure that your child's belongings are all labelled up. This will help prevent items getting lost.

Together we  will ...be kind, show respect and keep trying
